Program Goal

The goal of this degree program is to provide students with the necessary management knowledge and skills for the health management sector – to identify and understand operational issues, and to develop and implement successful solutions.

After successfully completing this program, students will be able to use a scientific approach to independently address complex tasks in a problem oriented and interdisciplinary context. The program covers entrepreneurial, legal, health-political, and therapeutic issues and processes in the healthcare sector.

Students will be prepared to take-over executive functions requiring management know-how as well as a broad spectrum of social and personal skills.

Participants will acquire fundamental knowledge and skills in various aspects of management for the complex and demanding tasks unique to healthcare facility management. In addition, the curriculum addresses specific issues of healthcare management. Skill and language courses addressing the increasing internationalization of business complete the program content.

In light of our mandate to offer a degree program with high levels practical relevance, we provide participants not only with the operational and industry specific competences, but also with key social competences (communication, presentation, moderation techniques, among others) required for a successful management career. Through a broad range of elective courses and additional qualifications our students are able to shape their own competence profile.
