The European Master of Education program is open for everybody interested in a high-quality study program in the field of educational management at a graduate level. It aims at preparing future leaders for all educational fields as well as other related sectors to work on a national or international level. The program offers a blend of practical knowledge, educational and management theories, and state-of-the art research within the context of global perspectives on educational management. As a consortium of universities based in different European countries students have the opportunity to explore the entire network: 2 years, 3 countries, 5 cities, 1 program. New programs at FH-Erding offer guaranteed enrollment: The UAM offered its first international summer school “Applied Creativity Across Domains” together with its partner university – Beijing Normal University (BNU) – from 25 July to 8 August in Beijing this summer. A total of 30 Chinese young students from 12 different universities and 7 domains participated in this program. These participants were selected from about 90 applicants from all over China by adopting comprehensive selection criteria with the aim to maximize the influence of the program in terms of region, gender, and study fields, etc. UAM is offering its first international summer school in Beijing from July 25-August 8, 2010. It will be hosted at their partner university (Beijing Normal University) through the School of Economics and Business Administration. A team of 4 UAM professors will participate, teaching courses that bridge the gap between creativity and innovation from a number of interdisciplinary perspectives. An additional professor from LMU will also participate (from the Psychology of Excellence program). UAM launches its first degree program offered completely in English Intercultural & International Management (BA in Business Administration) Starting in October 2010, UAM offers students the chance to study in English. The new program, Intercultural & International Management provides the optimal combination of in-depth business and management exertise with intercultural and international competence. Tippelt from the Institute of Educational Science and Research at LMU Munich, visited UAM on April 10, 2006, as a guest speaker on “Trends in Education and Training”. The lecture was well received by both students and teachers. Some of the topics he addressed focused on life-long learning, target-group orientation, as well as environment and professionalization in the field of adult education. Interesting discussions followed on various aspects, such as the European Education Passport, learning regions, educational marketing and differentiated educational programs. A one day glimpse into the behind-the-scene preparation of Nina Ruge's live talk-show "Leute Heute" from ZDF TV-channel – this unique opportunity was open to select University of Applied Management students in the "premium seminar" on Media Management offered by their professor Dr. Claudius Schikora. |
